Last season a little raccoon was dropped off in a box in a coon hunter’s driveway. He could not kill this young fella and got acquainted with him. He made friends for several weeks before he was brought to the orphanage. The little guy was in a dog kennel in the back of a pickup truck. He had been kept in it for several days with no cleaning or water. The man opened the kennel and out came this little guy running over to me, and boy did he stink. I picked him up and kept him an arm’s length away and said “You sooooooo stanky!” and that became his name. He spent the winter with Lil Dood but they never made friends, they were just roomies in the mini-coondo. He became quite wild after wintering over in the Northwoods so on March 17, 2009, after a good amount of the snow had melted, he went on his Big Adventure back into the wild. Please donate to help the wildlife orphanage continue the work of saving our wildlife and putting them back where they belong. Dory and the Orphans do not receive any state or federal funding.
Check before dropping your Dog off at a Dog Kennel or doggie Day care, always check out the back room and go there right when they open and see for yourself the real conditions there. We need to protect of lovely doggie from this sort of animal abuse !
