I have seen some at home depot the price is under 200. this is still high, i know. you could go to yahoo groups and look up a group called freecycle. and see if there is one in your area. sometimes people are wanting to rid their yard or house of unused things and put them on freecycle to keep from putting things in a landfill that can still be used.
http://www.freecycle.org/ it is free to join and all items listed are free. you can join and list a need on the site as well. i hope you find a kennel, because personally i do not like to have to tie my animals up to keep them in the yard. don't let others impose their opinions on you. and hopefully there will be something free on freecycle.

Why would you think she wouldn't try to dig out of a kennel? She is more likely to dig out of a smaller area than a large yard but that is beside the point -- why are you leaving her outside while you are gone - so she can become a nuicance barker? so she can be poisoned? Why not have her inside while you are gone? If you don't trust her loose in the apartment, get her a crate, come home at lunch and exercise her, confine her to the kitchen or a room where she can be comfortable - I don't see that leaving her confined to a kennel outside is an answer to your problem. See if you can locate a doggy daycare in your area and if you can't afford to properly care for her, find area rescue and don't get a dog unless you can afford it and properly house and care for it. Huskys are VERY active dogs and this is just a recipe for disaster. Cheap kennels aren't the answer.
